Who doesn’t want to believe in a little magic? Tis certainly the season for magic.
You want your supporters to feel great and they want to feel great, right? Here’s a terrific example of the power of video to get your point across found on the Osocio Blog. I encourage you to spend less than two minutes to watch.
Here’s what I love about this video message:
- It’s short.
- It’s engaging and compelling.
- It’s a story, about a real girl, with a real-life scary problem. She’s got a name and we learn what she loves so we get to know her.
- We learn exactly what the organization did. The story shares specifics about how Children’s Wish Foundation made Emily’s dream come true.
- The video lets us know there is more to do with the startling statistic toward the end.
You don’t need a 7, 10, or 20 minute video to cause people to take action. What you do need is a story told in a way that touches the viewer and inspires them to take action. And when they take that action they know they will feel like a super hero or fairy godmother in the process.
