Just last week I had the honor of spending four hours with the Vail Place board, staff, and key volunteers in a special fundraising action planning session. The team worked hard and left with clear, measurable actions to raise the funds needed for their 2011 $440,000 funding gap. Bravo team! I know you’ll reach your goals.
This month’s member message is from Vicky Couillard, co-executive director at Vail Place. She has some great reminders for us all about the importance of using technology in fundraising, and the importance of using that technology to keep things personal and heart-centered with volunteers and donors.
Tech WITH personalization – so important- thanks for sharing.
Great reminder – we need to really KNOW our donors – and technology can help us capture that information (and make it easy to access to again).
Nice video, Lori.
As I listened to Vicky’s message, I heard her talk about balancing technology with personal contact. She mentioned emails but still picking up the phone. It is a good reminder that process evolves, first technology, then personalizing with technology but a key element is always personal contact.
Thanks for the reading this week’s post! Personal is best and can work even with technology.
