Lori Discusses the #ALSIceBucketChallenge on Minnesota Public Radio

More than $100 million raised since the end of July. Amazing. 

A fluke? A new trend? What does this all mean?

For one it means new people are giving to ALS. And it means that folks at ALS have a huge task ahead to retain all those new donors.

Since it’s not likely you’ll be able to replicate the Ice Bucket thing, think instead about what would work for your community of supporters. What might ignite their passion and cause them to take action?

Take a page from the “outside the box” annual fundraising effort the folks at charity:water have created with their annual birthday campaign.
